best head unit

hey all,

i was looking into replacing my headunit on 02. cdr220. cd player doesn't work. but instead of just buying same and replacing, perhaps, i can replace with aftermarket one instead. was thinking of getting rid of the worthless cupholders, so i have space for a double din. now, which one do you all recommend? i was hoping that there was something out there that also had nav and bluetooth for phone. is there? and if so, does it fit and flow with the appearance of the car, or does it just look ackward and unnatural?

I got a single din Kenwood unit last summer and I've been enjoying it for the most part. I'd say make sure to get one that matches the interior color of your car. My interior is completely gray so it wasn't hard finding a black/gray unit.

The best place I found to look for a head unit is at Crutchfield. They provide all the tools needed to rip out your old unit and fit in the new one.

I think to find a good unit that has both Bluetooth and navigation built in, you're probably looking at $500+. I bet you can get a cheaper one from one of the lesser brands, but apparently they have terrible build quality.

Awesome upgrade, you won't regret it.

Sony just announced a few double-DIN units with Tom Tom navigation built in. Could be a winner since most of the complaints on the AVIC units I've read were about the nav system.
