99 Boxster original caliper color

... was probably not that rich rusty brown-ish color they are now. Can anyone tell what it color it was from the factory?

they were black as the S model (w/ red calipers) was not yet available in '99.

Do a search on G2 caliper paint or duplicolor and you'll find some nice DIY write ups on how to refinish yours.
