license plate bulb
 

I need to replace the non working license plate bulb on my 2001 boxster
has anyone done this before ? how easy is it?

I am looking for instructions or a link to the instructions

You don't need a link to instructions...I've done this on my 01, and it is easy as pie. Just get a new bulb and unscrew the two screws that hold the housing cover over the light bulb. Then, just pull off the housing cover and pluck out the bulb, and insert the new one. Then, just screw the housing cover back on. That's it.

super easy... it's a wysiwyg DIY project :D

just pick up two 6418 bulbs at a local parts store. Loosen and remove the 2 screws per lamp holder and lens, remove existing bulb, install new bulb, reinstall screws. Done!
