Is the 2001 S rear wheel bearing different from 2002-2004 S?

As the title says...

I looked up PET, and for the rear wheel bearing for the S models, it shows two different part numbers:

for S models up to and including 2001, 999.053.042.07
for S models from 2002 onward, 999.053.054.05

Are they really different?

Pelican only sells the 054.05 version, but frankly I don't trust their parts catalog anymore. A month ago or so ago I bought wheel bearings from them that they had listed as front or rear, Boxster or S. Well... turns out they are only for the front in the S model. They have since corrected their catalog, but I still have two front bearings sitting on my desk...

Thanks!

call your local main stealer and ask parts to confirm the part for your vin number.

What year did you order the wheel bearings for? I might be interested in taking them off your hands. Where are you located?
