Inspecting Oil Filter for Contaminants
I just changed the oil and decided to keep the filter and see if there was a way to analyze it for any metal. There is none visible to the naked eye. Any suggestions? I know I can take it to a lab, but I am doing this more of a curiosity thing as there are no current (knock on wood) engine issues. Any suggestions would be apreciated

If you have a paper element and cut it open to get a good look and you can't see anything with the naked eye, personally I wouldn't worry. Assuming, of course, that you can see past the end of your nose! :D
