Starter motor replacement
 
Hi folks,

I need to replace my starter motor, are there any walk thrugh guides for ding this vailable please?

Starter motor replacement is...
 
... very straightforward
Remove the aluminum firewall behind the seats
Put the top in service mode (front edge open 18-24 inches
Open the engine compartment
Disconnect the negative side of the battery
Disconnect the air tube from the throttle body
Remove the throttle body, the tee and the rubber couplings
On newer 986 and 987s remove the second intake plenum connecting tube
Remove the two cables connected to the starter solenoid
The starter is held onto the engine by two bolts which need to be removed
The top bolt can be accessed from the top of the engine, the bottom bolt is accessed from the open firewall using a socket with a long extension
You can now lift the starter out of the engine bay.
Assembly is inverse of removal
