What's This Cable...

So I decided to change out the polyrib belt today. It was fairly easy. Took about 1/2 hour. I noticed when the soft top was raised, the right steel cable about 10 inches long that snaps to the top was sliced. Have no clue how it was spliced. The cable is covered with a black tube for a more detailed description. I am sorry I did not take a picture. What's the name for the part and where can I get one other than the P dealer? Thanks!

Pelican

Pelican Parts carries them. If you're not comfortable selecting the right cable from their online catalog, give them a call. I've always found them to be helpful and knowledgeable.

Thanks! I found out from Pelican that it's a tension rope. Price there is actually the same as local Porsche dealer.
