997 shifter compatibility questions
 
Hi,

I recently bought 987 shifter console from ebay and I have some questions about compatibility.

It comes from 2008 Cayman S which is 6 speed, will it fit on my 5 speed 2000 Boxster?
Also it does not come with alignment bar, where can I get one of those?

Why ask AFTER you bought it?

Yes it will fit, if it's new it comes with the bar, if not, you don't really need it anyway.

Good question:)

I saw it on ebay it was 10 min until the end of auction, no time for research.. from reading this forum I had a good feeling that it will fit so I bid on it.. 10 min later and 50$ poorer.. I'm a proud owner of another upgrade for my toy:)
