I was going to say $0. But it was $165.
I had been doing 2 oil changes a year plus all kinds of PM. But this year I have been riding the bike so much I didn't even put 7500 miles on it. And the AOS was more than a year ago
So the only money I have put into it in a year is the push rods for the top. I was in a hurry and the latch caught the lip when the top was opening and the force of the motor snapped both ball cups (intended failure point). It was wet out and I just wanted it fixed so I went over to the local dealer and got the parts right there. I had it fixed within a day so I justified the extra money of getting it at the stealership.
Now thats not to say that I have $$ in needed work. I need a new water pump (age only, still works fine), coolant flush, motor mount, brake rotors, pads, passenger mud guard thingy and an alignment. Good winter projects I think.

Repairs, about $1500. Includes new top (a want, not a need), 1 drop link, and a section of clutch line
Maintenance, about $1800. Includes new tires, all the filters, plugs and tubes
Upgrades, about $2500. Includes new seats, steering wheel, shifter, cupholders
Insurance deductible, $500. A parking lot incident of which we do not speak
Driving it, priceless

Don't mean to hijack this thread but where are you going for your alignment? New '03 owner here and the cars pulls to the right. I'm assuming we don't take these cars to the local chains for their $59 alignment specials.

12 months
2 oil changes = $160
1 GAHH Top installed, with new pushrods (book caused some damage being left on the shelf) = $3750
New MAF = $400 installed
New Spark Plugs and coils = $76
New Starter, brake booster, brake fluid flush, water pump, tow = $1100
Total cost for 1 year? $5486
Without onetime Top expense? $1736, about $500 more than a typical year of Audi ownership.
My new tires that cost $1000 with tax, just missed the cutoff.

Just for routing maintenance and normal wear and tear-
replaced the ider pulley for the serpentine belt - $60.00
one coil pack - $50.00
need to replace the front trunk latch - $75.00
( I do get discounts on these parts and do my own work- so no labor costs included)
TRACK related expenses - approx $13000.00
too many to list and this includes upgrades to the engine and brakes and tires

... because I decided to check my IMS bearing.
That led to replacing the bearing with an LNE Retrofit, the RMS, the Clutch, and the Flywheel.
I had also replaced the Brake Master Cylinder and the Clutch Slave Cylinder.
But I need to point out that my car was at 197,000 miles at that point.
Now I should be good to go and will only need to replace minor worn suspension components.
Happy Boxstering,
Pedro

As a result of an accident and covered by insurance
