ideas to clean the internal leatherette door panels

Hi,
I have the light grey fake leather grained stamped door panels. Over the years the dirt has setteled in the deep stamped grain parts and now looks like crap. I have tried the autoparts suggestions with no luck.
Are there any ideas that will not desolve the plastic but return it to a uniform factory color?

Hi,

I cleaned my grey door panels with dish soap and an old soft tooth brush, now they look like new.

WD-40 is cheap and works wonders.

I used Saddle Soap for years back in the 60's to clean Naugahyde. Cleaned them beautifully a left them soft. I will use the same thing on my Porsche when I detail it once summer is over.

Maquiars (sp??) leather and leatherette interior cleaner and a small, soft, short knap brush work very well on the door panels and the seats. Tooth brush is great, but too small! I don't like to spend an hour per door panel!! You need the toothbrush for the small and hard to reach areas, but I don't use them for larger flat, open areas.
Also, the faux leather grain runs in all dirtections, so brush in all directions to get the bristles deep into that pattern.
