Door speaker question

I have a 2004 Boxster. It does not have door speakers. I have been thinking about instlling some. Does anyone know if the base 2004 Boxster has the speaker wires pre-installed?

My '03 only had dash speakers and no wiring in the doors.

Did you install door speakers?
If so, did you run the wires from the back of the stereo, or just run them off the dash speakers?

I had a stereo place install a new Alpine head unit, a 4 channel Alpine amp in the front trunk ( I think it was 300 watts total), Infinity component speakers with a 6 inch mid-woofer and separate tweeter in the doors, and replaced the dash speakers with some better two way Alpine units. It totally jams now and I'm happy with the way it turned out. I think I have about $800-$900 in it.

The amp and cross overs sit on the floor of the trunk and I built a custom floor panel over the top so it's still usable for cargo. I'm not an audiophile like some on this list but I think it turned out great.
