Does anybody have a '05 or '06 white 987?

I saw a white 2005 Carrera the other day and it looked sharp. Wondering if anyone out there had a white 987 and if you do could you post some pics?

White 996 and 997s are very very rare. Very few ordered and sold.

white car photos

one good source of photos of white cars is the Porsche "Pre-Owned Search" tool on their website. I used it to look at different colors, wheels, etc. when I was shopping.

http://ucl.porsche.de/ucl/plsql/usa/pages.search_menu

just enter the car model (987), set the color choice (at the bottom) to white and hit search. no need to set all the other choices if you are only interested in color. There were 3 white cars listed -

Since there aren't many used 987s yet, you may just want to go up a level to the new car configurator. Only Carrerra White is available unless you match paint.

Yeah, checked out the car configurator. It just doesn't look the same as a real one. Just curious. I'm not a fan of white cars, but I was definately surprised when I saw how great it looked.

I'd agree, looks great in this combo, but I've always been a fan of white ext/black top/ brown interior. My Saab convertible was that combo (actually, had a brown top/black boot). Hmm...make me want to switch out my Metallic midnight blue, but of course everyone knows that the MMB and tan interior is the best Boxster color combo of all time.

Personally I really like the white/beige boxster look.

As a dealer, I would not touch one. Sadly, this color does not move at all.

If you can find one in white, usually the seller has to discount the car to move it.

I know it kind of looks "Miami Vice", but I really like it. What is MMB? Midnight blue?

Yes, MMB = Metallic Midnight Blue. The only negative I could think of is that IMHO the white on the Boxster makes it look even more like a "chick car", and that's the last thing the Box needs.

True, unless of course you are in Miami! Then I think it is ok. Maybe...
