Painted Bumperettes

Just installed painted bumperettes from Bumper Plugs. They do a nice job and make a great addition. Also removed the Boxster S. Neat look.

Might get some myself. Was just at their site and they look good althogh expensive. Did you consider painting them yourself?

Any other company pain these things? Or sell pre-painted replacements?

It's a simple thing to paint them.

Sand them smooth (machine or by hand), prime and paint. You can add a flex additive to the paint, but really not necessary.

I have a pair or OEM bumperettes for sale in the classifieds, perfect for the job while keeping your originals should you ever consider returning to stock.

Cheers!

I'm lucky my car is black...they match already!

Did not consider painting them myself although I agree they were expensive. I do not know wether it is just marketing but Bumper Plugs claims they perform a lot of steps to the bumperettes.

Decisions, decisions. Went to paintscratch.com. About a hundred bucks for all the supplies they say you need to paint these. Soooooo, for another $150, I can get the professionally painted ones from bumperplug. I like the idea of saving a few bucks and DIY, but with my luck, I'd spend the $100, screw it all up, and end up having to buy the prepainted ones anyway. Something to think about. For now, I need to save up for tires. More decisions......Sumitomo or Falken??????

I bought the paintscratch kit and did itmyself. Mine look good, but if I had to do it over agian I'd but them from bumperplugs. To so it youself the right way it not hard but is time consuming.

I had my center console professionally done and it looks better.

If you want the satisfaction do it yourself, but bang for the buck , and knowing time is precious/money... I'd buy them if I has it to do over
