Headlight compatibility

Hello,
can i switch from Litronics to standard headlights on my 2000 986 without a problem or modification?

Thx.

Yes, it's a straight swap... easy breezy..

Well, easy breezy to plug and play, but a bit more work to dial in the correct lighting height. The factory recommends having someone sit in the drivers seat for weight during adjustment, then you use the oval access ports to make corrections. There is also a specific distance from overhead door target but I forgot what that is.

Are you going from or to Litronics?

Cause many have gone to but few from.

Explain please?

I kind of got the impression from reading some of the posts on this forum, that Boxster owners generally wanted to change to Litronics, and most of the light bulb suppliers were also encouraging folks to go in this direction.

Looking at how bright my lights appeared to be when I bought the car, I was delighted when I checked back on the original buyers spec of optional extras, to see he had paid for Liptronics along with all the other optional extras he spec'd the car at, as he clearly had money to burn. :D

What is the reason/benefit of returning to "normal standard" headlight bulbs?
