<<Need Help Buying a boxster Plz help...>>

Hi i was thinking of buying a used 2000-03 Porsche boxster 2.7l under 90k manual transmission. I was thinking if anyone could tell me if those years are problematic over the 2.5l engines, and overall is it expensive to maintain a boxster or its a non problematic car... any help that you can give about the car would be great.

Thank you

Ok, here goes, It's a manual and what's been posted here is a quick overview. If the Boxster has a good maintenance history that's a plus. If the following has not been done you will need to have it done so you do not encounter a catastrophic engine problem. The IMS seems to be a problem with stick owners and since it is repaired with the trans out you then need to replace the clutch and RMS. Repair cost at a Indy is $3500-$5000. My suggestions is to take it to a reputable shop and have a PPI done, then you know what you are getting into.
