How do i remove the drivers side hvac vent?

The fins are loose and i need to fix the support that controls the up and don. I know there are two screws next to the door, but how do i remove the entire unit so i can fix it?

I had the same problem not so long ago. I took a needle nose pliers, grabbed the loose fins, and snapped them back into the "main holder" that is on the right side of the vent. If you look closely you'll see a piece of plastic with teeth that hold the fins in place so they move in unison. Hope this helps.

I may have to try that. That peice you speak of is sitting in the center console, so i'll have to figure out a way to fish it in there.

to remove you'll need to pull out the light switch too...

ah-ha, i knew there had to be a hidden switch! Since i am selling the car and the new owner will be picking it up, i figured i might want to try and fix this for him, even though he knows it is messed up.

awesome, i knew it had to come off somehow. It took a while to get it, maybe 10 minutes or so of figuring out the best way. ONce i got one snapped in the rest was easy. I am going to miss this car.....
