Airbag warning light

Hello all, I recently had my drivers side window mechanism replaced by my local garage. After this I have a drivers side airbag warning light on the dash. Needless to say am not happy. Has anyone out there had something similar happening to them? Do you know if it's a normally closed or open circuit that triggers this? Hope you can help me out, thanks.

Could have been triggered by a number of things during the repair. You need to have the system scanned by a PSTII, PIWIS or the Durametric package as they are the only things that will both tell you what the issue is and be able to reset the MIL...................

why don't you take it back to the shop? it's likely they just left it unplugged.

I agree with that. But if it is an unrelated incident, the warning light gets triggered frequently due to a faulty connection with the seat belt.

Thanks very much for the replies lads. I'm offshore on a rig at the moment and have it booked in with them on Wednesday this week. I've already told them they will pick up the tab and also if I have to put my Boxster into a Porsche garage to fix this fault. They screwed it up, they fix it. It just pisses me off big time. ps. Do ya know if it's a closed or open circuit that triggers this warning light? That would help a great deal. Once again, thanks for the input.

Thanks for that Dave, I thought it was an open circuit that triggered it.
Nice Boxster by the way.
