Boxstoberfest 2010 - Anybody going?

I will be there with my youngest son. He is actually going to drive a little bit.

I've done this trip a few times over the years. I'm sure I'll make it down for at least some of this event.

It would be nice if some of the 986forum folks got a chance to meet.

I might come. Not sure my wife wants to go, but my son might want to come as well. Anybody else bringing their wives or sons??

Just registered. My dad and I will be in attendance with the 986.

Also plan on having a few at the Auslander Biergarten the night before too.

My fiancee and I will be there. It's going to be our fifth time at Boxstoberfest :)

The last three have been a fantastic good time; unfortunately we're going to miss Boxstoberfest 2010. I'll be thinking of ya'll and praying for top-down weather that weekend. Someone needs to volunteer as photographer so the rest of us can drool over the Porsches and twisty roads!

I will be there with my 16 year old son. He may drive a little bit. Depends on both of our comfort levels and his still shifting the Porsche. He is learning to drive a Jeep Wrangler I bought him (95, excelent condition and a stick). I think everyone should be able to drive a manual.

Finally time for Boxstoberfest! I'm leaving the office early tomorrow and getting down there asap. Can't wait to meet some new Boxster enthusiasts.

My kid is 16 and my wife brought up that very same point. It only took me a few minutes to let me convince her that I should put a bid in on a Boxster (Ebay) so he could have something to learn on.

Well, I got my Boxster but I'll be damned if I'm going to let him use it in order to learn to drive a stick.

I am registered and will try and head out for the day tomorrow. Hopefully the weather will hold out.

Why is Boxtoberfrst in September?

Oktoberfest begins in mid-late September. This year 9/18. So we're only a weekend off.

Yeah, I think we should call it Boxtemberfest! :)

Wish I could be there. My plane is not going to be in Houston on time :mad: to get home and drive out. Next year :)
