Help identifying a connector?
Learning the lesson of allowing someone else to work on my baby. The connector in the photo was not snapped on correctly so it came loose and has been destroyed by rubbing on the A/C compressor pulley. The wires that run from the connector are clamped down right behind the compressor pulley and then run back into the engine.
It's on a 2000 Boxster 2.7. Anybody know what this clip is for and where it connects? I'm going to have to order a new part so I can get her running well again. Thanks for the help! http://www.theschillings.com/boxster/boxster.jpg |
I think I found it. I believe it's the compressor clutch electrical connector. The clutch will not engage anymore. It makes sense too since my wife said the A/C would blow cold then every once in awhile just start blowing air like it was on fan only. Must have been when it was working itself off the compressor.
