Leak under driver dash

2004 Boxster - only 11,000 miles - Drove car yesterday and there is a leak under the driver dash. Not heavy leak but enough to constantly drip on my leg. Not very technical and would like to know what this could be before I take to my mechanic.

I have a 2001 S and I have a similar thing going on.

After a drive for 30 min or longer I will get a drop of ice cold water on my drivers foot once every 10 minutes or so. Usually happens while breaking, which makes sense because that would force the drop to fall off of whatever it's hanging on.

I'm not sure if you have the same thing or an actual leak. I'm 99% sure mine is just condensation dripping.

Your AC evaporator drains are clogged. Not unusual, not a big deal.

You need to raise the car and locate the drains. Push a length of coathanger wire gently into the drain. Do not lie directly underneath the drain because a small torrent of water will likely gush out.

If nothing happens, the drain tube may have come dislodged in which case you'll need to look for it under the dash and re-attach it. This is rare and it's most likely just a clogged drain.

Cheers!

if the coat hanger doesn't work you could always try a wet/dry vac and suck the clog out
