Correction, there is no longer a single RUF dealer in the US. RAC has split ways with RUF.

I thought the Texas dealer severed, and then they found a new distributor in Michigan...

Those wheels were optional on the Boxster, but at no point did I never put a badge or claim I have a Carrera or a 911.
I think the point has been made by other members and the original poster still doesn't "get it". :ah:

Not only does he not "get it"...he resorts to looking up your personal mods list to try to find ways to personally attack you if you don't agree with him. Lol. Real classy.
I still think he came on this site for the purpose of helping to promote the sale of those badges.

Uh oh, guess I shouldn't post in this thread since I'm a moniker poser b/c I don't drive a Boxster
Good discussion gents
I still have a bone to pick w/ ekam's statement above re: "It's an unnecessary modification" re:chest enhancements. Yes, just cause you can doesn't mena you should but look, lot's of mods are unnecessary. Some however look really really good when done right

Yeah, we need to talk about that too. Maurice said he wants you to stop fondling the Cayman wheels on his Boxster

but to say that there is no harm in posing is just a lie. sure some forms of copying are good to go. styling cues from 911s or what not. but its one thing to have a car that is styled like another but a whole different animal when you claim your car is something that it is not.
why put a RUF badge on your car when it isnt a RUF? would I put a turbo badge on my NA boxster? of course not.

I have all my work performed by RUF (now RAC), they have installed a new engine for me (non RUF modified) but I do have a RUF exhaust!
Can I put the RUF badge on my car?
ekam probably won't like this but my wife's rack is modified and I like it and she wears a RUF badge on her shirt

what happens when you pull up next to a ricer at a light who DOES know what RUF is and makes you look stupid when his 4-banger leaves you (and your badge) wondering if maybe you should have spent that money elsewhere lol

Now thats funny. I have read this entire thread and I have concluded that those of us, myself included that think its tacky to add a badge to a car that does not reflect that car should just let others do it. That way we can laugh at them when we see them. I love seeing Stock Mustangs with Saleen badges, or Camaros with SS badges. No matter what we all know it is funny as ******************** and we should just let them know how stupid it is as you fly by it.
