Wow didn't mean to cause such a controversy over whether the IMS failure is real or not. I just meant that it’s something that we all are always so worried about because of so much talk of IMS failures. For me I think I would of rather of not known about the IMS, when it happens it happens....... I will worry about it then. Or I guess pay the money to do the upgrade before it happens. But I thought I read somewhere that Jake didn't recommend doing it in a high mileage car? Is that correct Jake?

7614 --- You didn't cause a controversy. You started a legitimate thread about your high mileage Boxster and some others highjacked your thread and started a war...

I agree on your feelings about the IMS. When it happens it happens. If my car dies a sudden death, I'll be sad for a little while -- then I'll go car shopping and buy a new Boxster (or probably a Cayman).
