Shifter or Transmission Problem

A couple of times now the shifter seems to disconnect from the transmission or at least thats what it feels like. Its happened several times in different gears. The shifter will move up and down but it doesnt have any resistance - then it will seem to catch and I can shift gears. There is no grinding or resistance at all. When it happens I can move the shifter up and down and nothing- car stays in gear. Any ideas - it doesnt happen often so I need to tell dealer what to look for since of course it wont do it when I leave it with them Its a 6 speed 04S anniversary addition.

Dealer found problem - one of the clips holding one of the shift cables to the transmission had slipped off and all they had to do was tighten the clip and reinstall the cable - 50$ and on my way.

$50? Wow, that doesn't even pay for the free coffee at a stealership  Glad to here it was a cheap fix
