Where to get a cheap-er water pump

Hi,

I'll be replacing my engine mount soon and I read on Pedro's site that it's easy to replace waterpump while there.

My car is a 2000 Boxster base with 70k miles on it.. and I think water pump is due for replacement (it works.. just not sure how long it will hold)

I looked around and they are kinda expensive... (except deutsche parts.. wich is not an option)

I saw that rock auto sells refunrbished ones:

They have 2 types:
A1-Cordone and Uro ... both for around 100$

What do you guys think? any other places for 100$ waterpumps?

Also should I try to find a metal impeller one or stick with plastic?

I don't look for cheapest that why no ebay waterpumps..

I'm looking for a rebuilt one or an aftermarket one with good history..

300$ for water pump (and it can fail in 10K) is a bit high.. especially since I'll be changing it myself so I won't have a shop to blame to.

What do you think about metal vs plastic impeller water pumps?

I know you said that plastic can get stuck in the engine (in case of failure) and cause bad things to happen....

I also read that metal impeller could scratch your angine in case of failure....

Might make you feel better to know that the water pump body (no guts in it, just the body) for my Ferrari F355 is $2,635.

After spending too much time looking at Ferrari parts ($7,000 headers), suddenly Boxster parts seem cheap. Oh, and I'm pretty sure the engine has to come out of the 355 to change the water pump.
