Question Rim Fitment 2002 S

Folks, I have a chance on the following rims and was wondering how well the fit would be and what spacers I would need"

Quality meets all TUV, DOT, JWL, VIA standards. Made in Italy
Finish: silver finish with polished lip
Rims Size: 18 X 8.0" front & 18 X 10.0" rear
Bolt Pattern: 5 X 130
Offset: 52mm front & 65 mm rear
Quantity: Set of four wheels and caps

Brand: New Classic mesh style wheels / Rims and Kumho Ectsa SPT tires
Kumho Tires: 2 x 225/40ZR18 Kumho Ecsta SPT 2 x 265/35ZR18 Kumho Ecsta SPT

Any assistance would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Thanks for the reply!

I found out they need to be 20 mm and will need longer bolts and a bit of grinding & ty-wrapping ... Too much trouble and a possible safety issue as well.

Ok, understood
Just for the record: If my memory serves me well you would actually need 25mm spacers (and even longer bolts)

Do we need to make a sticky that states 11" 65mm wheels will not work on a Box?

No offense to you Jaak, this is just the 3rd thread this week on the topic.

None taken ... mine was 10" 65mm ......

Issue is that several publications such as Bentley Manual state that it should "fit". They do not add that shimms & grinding & ty-wraps are required in order for them to "maybe" fit.

What I am looking for is a 18 inch rim (sport 2 type) that is basically bolt in without the extra. I had order from a PCA type in Alabama who shipped via Usless Parcel Service that lost 3 of the four and shipped the fourth to a wrong address three times ....

I lost out on a good deal ... it also came with almost new tires as well ....

Actually, what would be the most helpful, in all seriousness, would be a sticky that lists the wheel sizes and offsets that WILL fit a 986/986S/987/987S, as well as the size of any spacers needed for a given application and the length of any longer-than stock wheel bolts needed. I'm sure it would be a long list (probably more akin to a spreadsheet), but it would cut down on these threads. Just a thought.

I think that's a good idea.
Before we turn this into a full blown science project maybe we could make a sticky thread where everyone can post who has non OEM rim sizes on his Box. He should post the rims size together with spacer a bolt sizes
When we have gathered enough information we can start with the spreadsheet project.
