Anyone replaced top mount ?

Hi

Got a sueaking sound from top of front mount. Been reading on here and not a lot of info...

Is it rubber or a bearing or a composite of both ??

Do you have to remove the strut, anyone help or got a pic for the 986 ?

Cheers

Google Pedros garage for complete instructions and pictures.

Think i should of been more specific, it is not the engine mount but front strut.

Anyway i had a look earlier and lubed/greased with silicon spray but the squeek is still there.

Everyone is pointing me towards the inner coffin arm mount.

How can i trace it ?

my front strut mount ( passenger side ) went out last year and i had to get it replaced. it sounded like a squeaking - metal on metal - mostly when i'd hit a bump in the road or go over a speed hump.

i chose to take it to an independent porsche garage since i don't have the tools or the confidence to do it myself.
