1997 Boxster CEL

Hi guys,

new to the forum.
My 1997 Boxster is misfiring. I read the codes and got P1319, P1314, P0300 and P0302).
I did a forum search for some of these codes (P1319 and P1314) and there are a few posts related to the MAF.
Since these codes point only to cylinder 2 does this mean that the MAF is ok and that this is a cylinder 2 related problem.
I just need a starting point or a strategy to diagnose this.
Any help is really welcome.
Regards,

John, Portugal

Sounds similar.
Should i change the ignition coils?
Maybe swapping the ignition coil on cylinder with other cylinder?
Any suggestion?
Txs.

They were recently replaced with brand new NGKs.
To be honest that is a very good sugestion.
I still have the old ones and I will try to fit and old one and retest.
Thanks!

John,

Instead of fitting the old spark plug back in to test, just swap the new plug in cylinder 2 with another cylinder and see if the code follows the plug.

Sounds like cyl 2 plug, coil pack, or connectors just not seated properly. Probably an easy fix.

I'm happy to report that after replacing the coil pack on cylinder 2 everything is back to normal and the car is running great.

Thank you to users extanker, paulv and Topless for answering when I needed help.

Regards.
