How do you upload pictures?

I have been asked to share some pictures and when I tried to upload the file I was advised by the forum that the file was too large. I have pictures in the jpg format and they are about 2 mg each. The limit is about 500k. Is there a way to compress or change the file for uploading? Thanks.

picture size

you can download a free program which re-sizes the image to 1 of 3(I think) options for example 75,50,25% once the program is downloaded all you do is right click on the image and the re-size option will be on the list, it copies the image and produces a smaller sized one.

google it, I think its called windows or microsoft image/picture resizer, im sure you will find it without much hassle.

You can upload your image onto photobucket and then resize it from there. When you post a picture in this forum, you can then post the photobucket link. You picture will now appear.

using a hosting site is a better option - photobucket, picasa, mobile me, etc. since you won't have to change the resolution. once you've got it on a site you can include a link to the photo or use the "insert image" toolbar item ( looks like a yellow box with a mountain in it )
