How do you jack the car onto four stands?

I need to get my rims and calipers powder coated and would like to know how to go about jAcking my car onto 4 stands in the safest manner. I tried to look for step by step instructions but had no luck...

Put your jack on a Corner.. Jack the car the higher you can, go put Candle at other point, repeat until you have 3 candle installed.. most of the time you'll be able to slide in the 4th candle without the jack because the car will already be supported at the 3 other place :)

You may also want to jack the car at a front/rear center point to be able to pu two candle at the time..

I just use my jeep jack since the one the boxster comes with isn't high enough.

Something else I noticed is that if I have 3 jacks under the car in the designated spots all at the same level, the 4th one (at the same level) will just slide under as if the car isn't properly balanced. Is this normal?

Basic geometry for a rigid body states: 3 points determine a plane.
