I'm thinking of upgrading my 2000 Boxster stock turbo 17" wheels with these 18"
http://www.eurowheelsgallery.com/porscheWheels.html. Has anybody purchase from these guys before (they also have ebay store)? What's your experence if you have.

Other question is... will these specs work without any spacers? According to them, I won't need them.

Rims Size: 18 X 8.0" front & 18 X 10.0" rear
Bolt Pattern: 5 X 130
Offset: 50 mm front & 46 mm rear

You should be fine with those offsets, if memory serves me:

18x10 offset range is 42 - 47mm, so 46mm is good.
18x8.5 offset of 50mm is good.

Do a search on this site to confirm, add the word spacer or offset and you will find quite a bit of information.

Also I have bought from those folks awhile back on eBay, got a very sweet deal on a set of 18's that are still on the car for going on two years with no issues, first set they sent me had some cosmetic blemishes on them (not much) but I emailed them back with a photo and they shipped out replacements the next day even before I shipped the first set back.

So for what I paid and the customer service I received at the time I have no regrets.

I'm pretty confidence having read your replies, boxster6354. Did your OEM center cap fit your new wheels? Any idea what typical Porsche OEM 18" wheel weights? They gave me a weight of 26lbs per wheel.

I got a set of the 18" turbo replicas from them last year off ebay. Great value for the money, you can't tell the difference between OEM! I am pleased with the wheels and would buy from them again. Jim

The OEM center caps I had would have fit, but they were nice enough to include a set of colored Porsche caps with the wheels at no cost which I thought was a nice extra.

those wheels look great! how are htey compared to OEM in terms of strength,, quality, and WEIGHT? are they overly heavy?

if they are close to OEM quality - seems like a no brainer to get those instead of paying ridiculous prices for OEM wheels...

in general - you don't get something for nothing..and these wheels are really cheap.. $699 for the set! .. what's the catch??

Good question... unless these are really cheap aluminums, which I don't think they are. Got an email from them and they said it's 26lbs per set. Did some digging and found that typical Porsche OEM 18" wheels are roughly 22-25 lbs depend on design.

Several Ebay rating including, boxster6354 and jrblackbox are very positive. We can argue that after market wheels are not as good as OEM but many of the folks here upgrade their wheels with after-market wheels without any problem. I just don't see paying 6K for OEM wheels.

I saw them at a Porsche Dealership on a Cayman and feel in love with them. I can go with a set of HHR but, it would lack the originality look of the car. I want to beef it without loosing the Porsche classic look.

I've seen some nice pix of Boxster with other wheel brands/styles here, but It's just my preference. If I had several Porsches, I would select several brands/looks too.

landrovered, if you are going to order, make an offer. I went with the $799 w/free shipping instead of $699 w/$99 shipping. Now, it's to the tires! That's another hairy one, on the same plane as what oil to use, weight and oh, yeah.. air filter.

At least I have already made up my mind on the tire front. I am going with Falken RT-615s. They are competition rated, grippy and cheap. If I get 10k miles out of them then I will feel that I got my money's worth and if I don't like them I will change to something else at that point.

The previous owner had the Porsche fitted Continental Sports Contact 3 on them. I love them but they do wear out pretty fast. I'm looking at the Continental DW for better wear rating, comfort and wet traction. Tirerack has pretty good rating on them (I'm pretty won't run a track, not yet anyway and probably won't go after than 100 but I do love my corners coming home everyday at 50MPH) .

BTW, I'm impressed with these folks at eurowheelusa, as soon as I paid them, I've already gotten my Fedex tracking number. I'll undate you on the quality once I get them.
