Have Radio Code But....

Hi...
I have the code for my CDR220 but the radio doesn't seem to accept it.
Is there some sequence that it needs besides the 4 digit code?
Cheers

What does the LCD screen show on your radio? "ENTER CODE" or "WAIT"?

Hi...thanks for the response.
The screen shows "CODE". Then the asterisks disappear one by one as I enter the code, but they all re-appear after the last digit is entered. It's as if the radio is looking for the last button to be pushed to finalize the code entry. I've tried it enough times that it says "wait", so I'll have to wait the 60 mins.
Am I not completing the entry? It is possible, but not likely, that I have the wrong code.
Thoughts?

I do not have the OEM radio installed anymore, but according to the manual "Once the correct code is displayed, enter by pushing the signal seek switch". Are you doing the last step? Otherwise, try renntech:

You have the wrong code. Visit the Dealer, they can retrieve the code. If you have a good relationship with them, they'll provide it for Free - mine did.

Becker

Contact Becker and pay the 30.00 for the code... I did and the service is within 24 hrs,,, They also send you code cards! It's cheaper and easier than waiting for different opinions on how to fix ur problems!

On the CDR-220 radio you enter the code only. If nothing happens you have the wrong code. After three (3) attempts you receive the infamous "WAIT", in which case you have to wait 1 hour with the the radio on. You can go to Renntech and find the forum for radio codes and supply the info required and Loren will provide 2 numbers. He is 95% accurate. If the 2 numbers don't work you will have to go to the dealer.

The dealer can get your serial number out of your radio and get the code very easily. Some dealers charge , some don't. Ask first.

in my manual there was a serial code for the radio. i entered the 4 digit radio code and after 3 attempts it said WAIT.

can i assume the radio code is wrong?

its a cdr 220.

i waited for 15 minutes than just got impatient and turned it off.

do i need to go to the dealer at this point?

I now have the code retreival software. If you PM me the serial # to me, I can give you the code. (serial # located on a sticker on the bottom of the radio - use radio keys or paperclips to slid it out of the console)

Cheers!
