I love how in his ad he says

"You WILL get at least 1 compliment a day on how great your car looks. Selling to upgrade to the 911 Turbo for my birthday.."

1) no you WON'T get any compliments
2) you may be asked daily why you ruined your car
3) please stop thsi man from buying a 911 turbo "for his birthday" and then ruining that too...

can someone revoke his porsche license...

I think I saw some green furry dice hanging from the rear-view mirror too.

What a joke!

Its not all bad, if you consider St. Patrick's Day an important holiday. :p

rick3000 02-10-2010 01:44 PM

It would be even more awesome if he deambered properly! :D

Gary H 02-10-2010 02:21 PM

That is so funny :D

ChrisZang 02-10-2010 02:33 PM

is this one of these images where the chroma key is wrong and everything red appears green?

cas951 02-10-2010 04:38 PM

Well. Car is in Vegas. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Hope it stays there.

I'm waiting for someone to install those ridiculous 22" or 26" wheels on a Boxster. Curb feelers might top it off nicely.

Good Ideas

That's what I like about this forum; all the good ideas that people come up with to mod their Boxsters. The only problem I see is, if I put 26" wheels on my Boxster how am I going to find curb feelers long enough for the car. With those wheels on the car it will be so high off the ground that I can use full size fluorescent bulbs instead of the small neon lights......LOL

ARModen 02-10-2010 06:26 PM

That'd be really nice. Can you imagine how much easier it would be to change the oil on that car?

Lil bastard 02-10-2010 06:43 PM

Don't say Glass House to you guys!

Do the 'accepted' mods, you know the ones which everyone else is doing, and you're a friggin' Michelangelo. This despite the fact that your car, after much expense and trouble, still looks like eveyone elses.

But do something that is truly unique and you guys are all over his ********************.

I don't personally care for it, but he didn't do it for me... or you! He did it for himself and that's all that matters!

Some of the mods showing up here recently would make a Camel puke, but still get rave reviews! (Pause for the Bah ah ah ahs from the Flock)

Man! this is a tough Room!

Cheers!

Sputter 02-10-2010 07:25 PM

He's missing the green neon lights under the belly pans.

Not sure how that's any worse than the God-awful reddish leather interiors I see all too often on P-cars.

eightsandaces 02-11-2010 02:25 AM

At least he didn't bastardize it into a wanna be Lambo or Carrera GT, I've seen worse personal details added. Maybe we are all a bit pissed that he's getting a Turbo for his birthday, sounds like Pee Wee's pal Francis Buxton...

Here's an "interesting" color combination from the factory.

landrovered 02-11-2010 05:53 AM

Ha Ha...that interior looks like it was black but just faded in the sun really bad. What were they thinking?

Quickurt 02-11-2010 06:02 AM

Hey, I remember that waving checker flag pattern Porsche used all the time in the late seventies and early eighties! I sat in one in the showroom and got dizzy! How the hell could you drive it? This neon green is mild in comparison and that yellow on blue/gray.... WTF? Looks like a dead whale rotting on the beach!
But, then again, the owners of both probably think our's look like ********************, too!

r9i8c7k 02-11-2010 12:13 PM

He definitely has his own....

style....Wowza....

The owner must be a fan of the Jamaican Bobsled team!

True. But now he's trying to sell the car to someone else thinking they will appreciate his choice and placement of accent paint colors.

I do know that not everyone would want to buy my car from me as it sits though. I'm just a little smarter in that I'd remove the things I know would harm the resale value or time to sell the car in the same way I'd remove about 50% of the stuff from my home and stage it for sale if I were to put it on the market.

One day this kid will learn this lesson, and it will probably be the hard way.
