2000-02 boxster crate motor on ebay

there appears to be a new crate motor on ebay for around 4900 bucks. not sure it's legit but if it's new in the box (no pun intended) it sounds like a good deal. wish I could snag it for spare...

But engine has sat around for how long?

Run at factory. Oil removed for shipment. Then sits for years.

Is that good for an engine?

It's not optimal, yet if nothing is set up, I don't see where that would be a problem. I'd rather throw the dice on a new engine run and drained, than a used engine someone lists as "running well".

Man, if I had the money, I would grab it, but I don't, so I won't,
