Headlight/Taillight differences
 

I tried searching but I didn't find any concrete answers to my question.

Why do some 986s have the amber headlights and taillights and some don't? Did the owners replace them or was it a factory option? If they did replace them, how much does each part cost?

What was the first year with the 'rounder' headlights?

I may be wrong but in 03 they switched to clears on the HL and TL. however you can buy from many places like a porsche dealer clear HL and TLs for older years. then with the 987 they introduced the ovular shaped lights

Or you can go get LED ones on fleabay. Headlights cost $1200 new so you might look for used ones instead.

Thank you, ekam mine seem to be burnt inside is there anyway we can prevent that? And my back window is cracked is yours?
