Which ipod (aux input) adapter is best and easiest to install?

I have an 07 base Boxster with the standard cd/radio head unit (no changer installed). I am looking to plug in my iphone so I can manually operate my pandora radio application, basically I will be plugging into the headphone jack. I am looking for an adapter than can easily plug into an existing plug on the car's wiring harness or something similar. I don't want to cut wires to install it. What is out there for me?

The Search feature is your friend.

What head unit do you have?

Is it PCM?

If you have a MOST fibre optic system installed then my blog might help a little (see links below)

Tried with no success then thought to ask. Thanks!

I have the CDR24?, I think. It is the base radio system, not the BOSE.

Got this from another forum. I'll be trying this soon.

MOST was added in MY03 and is not same as Bose. It links radio, PCM, amplifier, CD changer and telephone.

I've got an Alpine FM modulator in my 06 Boxster. $100 plus installation, good sound, no station interference.

The only drawback is when I want to listen to a weak FM station at the left end of the spectrum (80 to 90) I have to disconnect the iPod.

I also have an 06. With the Alpine, can you change tracks via the radio, or do you have to use the I-pod?

Has anyone installed the Alpine DPR-RDS1 on a 986? Do you have to remove the CDR23 to get to the antenna input or can you get to it without removing the unit? What fuse slots did you use? And do you really have to disconnect the battery to install? Thanks
