Vibration in right turn under power

Newbie Boxster owner here. I'm loving the car. I previously owned an 83' 911 SC, a Miata, and presently own a Lingenfelter TT C5 Corvette. Although the Boxster doesn't have the TT Vette power, it is definitely FUN to drive! Right now I have a light vibration that can be felt through the floor when you make a right turn at speed, with the car in gear and foot on the accelerator. If you put the car in neutral, the vibration immediately stops. It only does in in the right turn, not the left. I haven't been under the car yet, but am a little stumped by the symptoms. Any thoughts?

At 58k miles, my car exhibited a vibration/grinding when taking right turns under power. At first I thought my differential was shot, but it turned out to be that my motor mount was shot, which allowed my motor to shift enough during turns to disrupt the drivetrain geometry. Once I had the motor mount replaced (which was clearly cracked after it was pulled out), the symptoms went competely away.

I would have your motor mount checked for cracking in the rubber.

As Boxtaboy says. Its the front motor mount which collapses internally - but you can't see the damage unless you remove it. The faulty mount can also cause vague or rough gear shifting.

You didn't say what year your car is, and it sounds like it's an automatic.

My '98 had a shudder on right turns while under power.
Replaced the motor mount first, and that solved another problem, where the car seemed to push to one side on hard acceleration in a straight line, and pull the other way when chopping the throttle in a straight line.

The solution to the shudder was to replace the right rear strut, which was completely dead, and had been for a while by the looks of it.

BC.

Sound like the front motor mount.
