Upgrading the stereo, speakers and adding iPhone support

Hi all

The last few weeks I have been researching and collating various tid bits on upgrading the audio capability in the Boxster along with some of the pitfalls and common upgrade paths available. It is mostly aimed towards Becker CDR-23 users but has a quite a bit of other useful info.

It is constantly being updated on my blog here:
http://www.geoffcoope.co.uk/blog/2010/01/18/iphone-bluetooth-speakers-and-a-porsche-boxster/

Feel free to have a read and if it helps you at all then

Thanks
Anim

I've been considering an upgrade myself and have read all the forum posts - you summary is a good one and thank you for taking the time!

It does suck that most of the stereo stuff is targeted at the CDR220, and does leave a lot of owners with newer MOST systems out to dry. Your site seems very complete and has a good summary of everything. Good Job!

That's alot cheaper than you'll find in any store. I've ordered several things from them.

Thanks all

It appears that a cost effective upgrade that people seem to start with is replace the front speakers with Alpine SPG 10C2 speakers.

Ive just spent £90 on getting the fixing kit, speakers and postage so will hopefully discover if this makes a decent difference or not. the only worry is I am a complete DIY "Destroy It Yourself" type of person so fitting these will be a small hurdle.
