Boxster in the snow

It's really kind of a let down. It's not very much fun. I can get the back end out, but only momentarily. The thing is so well behaved, it's boring to drive in the snow. I guess that makes it safe though.

someone has snow tires or all season tires on..... lmao

Did you turn off your stability control?
My Boxster doesn't have it so whenever there is an empty, snowy parking lot I do a few doughnuts. I rarely skid unless I want too, except for the occasional fish tail, which I always enjoy, it makes life more interesting.

Doesn't the lack of an LSD limit the gas pedal induced fun quite a bit, though?

Hoo, I let my 2k's summer tires wear right out before I parked it this winter. Just the fall rain made that nearly more interesting than I wanted once or twice.

I could kick it right around leaving my parking spot at work, lol. Would have gotten in trouble for it as well, except the car didn't leave any rubber on the tarmac.

Yeah, I've got winter tires on and I do not have stab control. Then again, I have a '99, so it only has 200bhp. :(

I'm guessing that the lack of an LSD and the weight distribution are the culprits. <sighs>

I put snow tires on so that I wouldn't have any drama on the snow.

Winter Tires

Every day I walk out and see my baby under its winter cover and the battery tender snaking to keep her in shape. My Box has been lowered and in the northeast anything more thana couple of inches would be an issue.
So I have to suffer driving the 325CI cab that does have snow tires separately mounted till spring.
