Intermittent Wiper and Spoiler install ?

Have any of you guys installed the variable intermittent wipe and the spoiler deployment switches?

I've seen these advertised on ebay, saying that it's simply a plug and play install. I've got a variable intermittent wiper on my Passat and use it all the time. The spoiler switch would be a bit of fun and would fill out the switches on the centre console.

I've also seen the chrome strips for the front grill for sale and was wondering if any of you have put them on. I think they might look quite good on my Lapis Blue Boxster.

Those look to be the same as the chrome door edge strips that you can buy at any auto parts store. Just buy a roll of it and cut it to length.

When people risk their lives, shouldn't it be for something very important?
Well, it better be.
But what is so important about driving faster than anyone else?
Lots of people go through life doing things badly. Racing's important to men who do it well.
When you're racing, it's life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting.

You are correct. They are just the chrome plastic strips with adhesive in the center that you can buy at any pepboys or autozone for a few bucks. The only difference is the guy on ebay already has them cut for you. I did this myself and they turned our great. I left them on until I refinished the grills with mesh and took them off.

The relay in your Passat may be the same one for the boxster. I looked into it a few yrs ago and a VW relay was what I needed.
