Stock spoiler color?

Are the stock spoilers on all Boxsters black? I know the top is painted to match the color of the car, but I'm asking about the part that is hidden when the spoiler is retracted, but becomes visible when it is extended.

The reason I ask is yesterday when I was driving home from work I saw a Boxster going the other way on the highway. It was a medium grey (I think it was a 987). After it passed me, I check it out in the rear view mirror and I'd swear that the spoiler was black with a grey top. It looked horrible! Did Porsche not bother painting them? If so, I think that would be a worthy mod (except on white or black cars).

I believe they all came in black from the factory, I have only seen one or two that where other colors but the owners had painted them. I like the black, it makes my red 'Porsche' spoiler sticker stand out. But it wouldn't be very hard to paint it if you wanted to do that.
