Another radio question (but an easy one!)
 

Is the OEM radio in a 1998 (CR-210 tape) supposed to be backlit? My buttons light up, but the display is dark with the lights or accessories powered. I don't know if I just got a faulty replacement or what. The manual, of course, doesn't mention such a silly point.

your backlight prolly died you may have to replace the whole thing or just upgrade to a CD. not sure but I know there is a company that does backlights for the AC controls maybe they do the AV deck too.

Since your 210 has a removable faceplate, maybe you could take just that to a place that install/repairs radios and have them take a look at it.
