How to check oil in Diffential
I have a 2000 Boxster S with a small leak around my right output axle at the case, maybe. I want to check and add fluid and I assume it is going to be under the car. Just did the brakes when I saw the oil residue next to the inner boot. So, I what do I look for. JB :ah:
PS: Has anyone tackled this repair before so I know what to expect. |

Manual or TipS?
The TipS does NOT share it's fluid with the diff/final drive, nor does it have a drain plug, though it has a fill. Pull the cover to drain - replace cover w/ new gasket and fill with gear lube, not ATF. |
