miles to kilometres setting?

Hello all,

I have joined the club and bought a 2000 boxster triple black. It's a US model with the instrument readings in miles. Is it possible to set this somehow to read kilometres so I can tell just how fast I'm going? Easy math conversion I know but it's required here for canadian safety standards and I'd hate to use the recomended plastic stickers.

Cheers.

Twist the right knob on the instrument cluster that looks like a clock, counter clockwise for a few seconds. That will change the digital speedometer display.

IK: How'd you handle the rest of the requirements? Interestingly, it's easier to CDN>USA because the CDN safety standards list is longer.

Hey Wetstuff - Just starting the process now and have 45 days to install daytime running lights, do the speedo conversion (thanks for the tip tool pants) and add a french language translation to the airbag service notice. I think that's it but I will find out what else is required in a few days.

A few years ago I met a then new 2002 owner. One visor was in English/French and the other in English. He wanted to know if all cars were that way. Nope. Screw up at the factory. If he was still arond you could swap one visor.

Tool pants, help!!

Hey TP, seems like you are quite an expert on all things Boxster. Your fix worked for the miles to kilometer and visors but I'm still left with the daytime running lights. Any suggestions on this one, have you ever seen a relay that would do it?

I appreciate the help.
