CHF 11S Power steering fluid... Clear or green?

I just purchased a 2003 Boxster S. I was just checking the power steering fluid level and it was low. It wasn't showing on the stick. I dipped in further with plastic rod to see how low and noticed that the fluid on the stick was clear when I wiped it on a paper towel. I thought that the CHF 11S fluid was green. Is that the case? if so, I hope that the previous owner didn't fill it with another fluid. I guess tomorrow, I'll open the front engine access and see if there are leaks from the pump. From what I understand other fluids eat the seals. Any comments or input would be appreciated.

I opened up the front, and I don't see any leaks around the pump. Everything looks good. I haven't seen any leaks on the garage floor. hummmmm. It must be going somewhere. The tank is almost dry. if the wrong fluid is in it, would it expand more and blow it out of the overflow to the point that the tank would virtually be dry when cold? I see a little residue around the cap, but that could be from someone filling it.

CHF 202 is the replacement fluid for CHF 11 - I've just checked my spare tin and it is indeed green in colour.
My resevoir was also empty when I took delivery from the OPC (so much for the 100,001 point inspection) but they sent me up a tin when I complained.
The resevoir only took a few cc's to fil to the correct level.

Is the CHF 202 green as well?? If so, some dufass put in the wrong fluid and I have to clear the system. If the CHF 202 is clear then maybe I wont have to do that.

Its pale green.....

Mine looks clear too --- but I'm color blind and can't see green anyway :D
Maybe that's why yours looks clear?

We have been thru many PS pump problems from track use --- IMHO you might be well off by just adding the correct amount of the correct fluid and drive it for a while to see what happens ( I expect nada).

That's what I think I'll do. Thanks for the responses. I'll fill it, drive it, and then I might suck it out and fill it again just to be safe.
