Oil in intake runners

I removed one intake runner on my 2000 Boxster for some other work and noticed there was a fair amount of oil coating the insides of the intake. Anyone no a possible cause or is it just normal to see some oil on an 80,000 mile engine?

Probably AOS going bad...do a search and you'll find lots of posts on the topic.

Some oil is normal, like a lite coating. If it's puddling, you probably have an AOS going bad.

I also noticed some oil, not a lot, in the intake manifolds when I went to clean the throttle body on my 2000 base with just under 90K. I have subsequently replaced the AOS, not sure if that took care of the issue or not.

There's some in mine, too. I suspect there's some in everyone's.
