gas pedal clicks at full throttle

i have wondered if the gas pedal clicking into place at full throttle is a normal function. i noticed it awhile ago but just forgot to ask it has done it since i bought the car. just curious. as far as i can tell there are no problems with it doing that.

Is your car a Tiptronic?
If yes, then that's probably normal, as there will be a switch that lets the car know you are at full throttle so that the car downshifts the transmission.

BC.

no not a tip its a 5spd. it is just kinda strange it locks in place so that you do not have to really put much pressure to keep it at full. however, if you release ur foot all together then it will "un" click
