How wonderful, they're adapting the Panamera bubble butt to the Boxster too

I like it. I always thought the 987 had too much space under the wheel wells (like the pre-09 NC miata). I like the stance. It's too bad this will be rediculously priced. anyone wanna go in with me? We can swap every 3 months. And I enjoy top down winter driving if that helps :D

From the pics it looks like they gave it a a modified wide body, the rear fenders definitely look more flared out to me.

I'm on board with it

It's probably got some Speedster-style humps under that bubble.

The rear wing looks interesting, kind of like the Gemballa fixed wing. I bet the rear-most section is a retractable wing that then extends up to mate with the fixed wing to make an even bigger wing at speed. That would be cool... Porsche is doing some neater stuff with wings now. The Panamera has a retractable wing that expands width-wise to get bigger at triple digit speeds. It would be neat for them to do something like the air brake wings though, that's the next evolution.

I think the rear end is hideous!! I wouldn't mind the bigger engine(3.4 beefed up) in my boxster s :D

funny.....that's what I think whenever I see a late model 911!

maybe this is some new form of "subliminal" marketing. you see the car, subliminaly think of a woman bent over in front of you - and you buy it!

if it stays true to form, in a few years of ownership it will get even wider/heavier, , it won't start when you want it to, and the nav system will start talking back to you....

:D

lets home my wife doesn't read that...

I always equated the 911's ass with hiliary clinton's (not that I stare), Big bulky and not sexy at all!!

OMG.....that was very funny. Even my wife loved it! and added that when it gets even older the temp gauge will shoot up for short periods every now and then.

It's not going to be called Boxster R... no VTEC inside.

Mike_Yi 09-22-2009 08:50 PM

It's got a full roll cage. Maybe it's gonna be a Boxster S RS.

I think the back of the car looks fine. It looks no different than the current Boxster, but the way they have the top covered just messes things up. They're trying to cover up Speedster humps.
