I can't just leave... after 3.5 yrs.

Well friends,

I have sold the box , but not going to leave. I have found a replacement car ,
for my wife and I to enjoy ...

04 merc CLK 500 convert. black/blk .. 54k .. with amg package. bonus 3rd party warranty for 2 yrs coverage.

Though no Boxster .. it will have to do until I can buy another P car.

Always enjoy all the posts here.

Best

Patrick

Stick around Patrick... Plenty of car stuff to chew on here. You know you will need another Boxster eventually. Congrats on the sale/purchase. Did you let those extra 17" wheels go with the car or do you still have them? One can never have too many sets of track wheels you know.

Thanks for the wishes ... Topless, the wheels went with the purchase ... the guy didn't want them at first.. .then changed his mind.

I don't miss the weight of a v 8 , but do like the noise it makes

Pics to come shortly .. once i pry the keys from my wife's hands .

6 weeks later, I am still suffering from Post Boxster Depression. Horrible disease.

With out a manual, im bored... though the car is nice, very comfy, usable, and newer... its definitely missing a soul. I find myself trying to use the manu-shift with the ESP off all the time I drive it.. just to scare myself a little.

The V 8 is great... and my wife is on cloud 9 .

I've realized that owning a P car .. is like a poison. Nothing else feels like it , and it just doesn't go away quickly. Sigh

I need to try a 911 next . Or another Boxster. .....

You guys understand right? .

Yes, the cars just have a certain feel to them that just seems "right". From the exhaust note, to the weight of the steering, to the ride quality to the sensitivity of the brakes, the qualitative particulars of the P-cars are wonderful. I've owned other high end brands that get part of the equation right, but no one else seems to do the total package as well IMHO.
