Seatbelt Light On With 6-harness

Í'm currently running aftermarket seats with 6 point seatbelt and i'm having trouble keeping the seatbelt light off. Any suggestions on keepin that light off???

did you take the seatbelt receptacle from the original seat and attach it to your aftermarket seat (and plug it into the connector under the seat)?

Did you try jumping the wires that went into the original seatbelt recpticle?

I am not 100% sure that you can "jump" these wires (meaning directly connecting them to each other). I believe to remember that you need a resistor to connect them but all of this is a bit vague in memory, maybe someone else remembers correctly.

nevertheless for my race seats I picked up two used receptacles on eBay (taking the original ones off the OEM seats is a major pain) and I plug them in when I switch seats. These receptacles pop up on eBay from time to time, they are usually in the $40 ~ $80 range.
This also gives you the added benefit that you can use your 3-way belts to/from the track
