2002 Boxster

Hello All,

I am a new boxster owner from San Francisco. Bought a 2002 Boxster from the dealer, silver/black, 8600 miles, sport package, painted wheel crests. Test drove both the s2000 and Boxster. s2000 does not compare to Boxster in terms of torqe and handling. This car is awesome!

Thanks. I've surfed this board before making the purchase. Lots of great threads and information. Looking forward to contributing.

Talking Your 2002

Congratulations and enjoy your car, sounds like a dream. Lots of nice twisties up there in your area, I can think of a few nice roads up in Sonoma and points north of there (used to live in Petaluma). Good choice of color, I love the arctic silver with black interior on my '99. Welcome and we look forward to some pictures and posts from you.

May I ask what you paid for it?

I paid $36,500 including registration, but not including tax. There was no luxury tax since it was under $40,000.

Do you think it was a good deal?

Talking Deal

Yeah, I think you got a good price on it. Low mileage 2002 for 36.5K sounds like a good deal to me. I paid 26K for my used '99 7 months ago with 37,250 miles on it.

You might want to check out the local Bay Area Boxster group. Our annual SF toys-for-tots drive is Dec. 7th. Jeff
